“My son Harry has just completed the Spring Intensive Grade 5 Music Theory Exam Workshop. He enjoyed the course itself, as well as being in a supportive environment with other children of a similar age. The format of the course worked really well; having it on three consecutive afternoons during the Easter holidays meant all the information stayed fresh and there was momentum, but with it being half days, it wasn’t too long or overwhelming for Harry. There was also a practical element to the course. A highlight for Harry was when he played piano to the other students while they were learning chords. On the final day several children brought their instruments with them to play to each other. Mrs Watson is an excellent teacher and is enthusiastic and supportive, and has a great way of encouraging the children and getting the best out of them. Harry was in a great mood at the end of every day of doing the course, which is very encouraging because he’s not a particularly studious young man, yet he seemed happy and to have enjoyed himself, and said he was glad he’d done the course. There was also a lot of post-course follow-up with mock exam papers.”
